  The ISO 17712:2010 that replaces the current ISO/PAS 17712: 2006 mechanical seal standard was scheduled to take effect on March 1, 2012. This new standard includes: A tamper evidence requirement with associated test procedures and certifications (Clause 6). ABRIC has successfully achieved compliance with the latest international ISO 17712:2010 standard for mechanical freight container seals. Launched in conjunction with the US Homeland Security C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership against Terrorism), the ISO 17712 standard specifies requirements and test procedures for security seals to gain the “HIGH security seal” classification.
